(Rochester, N.Y.) – The city of Rochester has issued an ultimatum to Steve Donner, the co-owner of the Amerks and Knighthawks--sell the teams or vacate the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial.
In letters to the American Hockey League and National Lacrosse League, the city spelled out its position.
"We cannot justify to our taxpayers...a new lease with an entity in which Mr. Donner is either a manager or anything other than a non-controlling minority owner,” Corporation Counsel Tom Richards wrote.
